I am in Oklahoma. The childhood home of my mother, the current of her parents, and the former home of their parents. My great Grand father just passed away, he was 98 years old.

It feels a little bit weird because for as long as I can remember THe only way my mother could persuade us to come here was by mentioning the fact that it was most likely going to be the last time we ever saw Great Grand Father, or as we liked to call him, Pard. Oh well. I feel like I have gotten to know him more in the past two days than I had previously through my entire life. He was just so old. He was married for 77 years for crying out loud. 77 years. IT is just so long. Damn.

My condolences, Thom. I know what it’s like to lose someone like that. I hope your mother finds another reason to bring you home.
