It is new years eve.

It is new years eve. NOCHE VIEJA

I am going to eat 12 grapes at midnight.

this is a list of Spanish Christmas Traditions.

Though I have not been suffering by any means and the plethora of new traditions has all but compensated for the faults, I wish I was with the people I love this holiday season.

more meat

I think that the congressman Charles Rangel has a very interesting idea with manditory Military service in the US. It seems like his idea is that if the ranks are filled with more of the upperclass it will make the leaders think twice (or maybe even once) before they decide to throw their own into the meat grinder. And Speaking of meat grinders the 20th century sure was something in terms of people causing DEATH wasn’t it? Or maybe it wasn’t so bad because Quakes and floods were bigger killers… oh wait, only in 2002, and oh wait… still death, doh!

Learn from the british… say

Learn from the british… say it ain?t so. US media giants could take a note from a small british company that is useing a model for the distribution of digital media that has it raking in the dough. Their theory is simalar to the one used by my friend?s very popular 3gscreensaver website. The theory goes that if you provide all content for free but include a small icon of the company in the corner, and then provide higher quality versions of the same media, however missing the small icon, for a small price, people will then download like crazy and figure it is easier to pay a tiny bit than to pirate, thus stimulating huge sales. So briliant, so simple.

futher note if AOL can get away with putting a patent on something as simple as AIM I think Nata2 should look into putting a patent on his simple tech. :) just a thought.

does time ever end

Just when I think I am thinking about enough… does time ever end? damn good question, this new theory of the universe says that it does not. In other news it looks like Dark Energy and Dark Matter may make up almost 95% of the Universe. Given the fact that no one has any clue as to what either of those two things are, and that every current calculation involving space or time must make use of them, it seems fair to say that the current scientific world is no better off in terms of truth than they were when they sought the ether. It is nice that Thomas Kuhn is being afirmed once again. However I think that it is equally important to note that Thomas Kuhn would not have gone anywhere with out the radical Paul Feyerabend. I think that the “fundamental truths” of science are at a breaking point and that a new epoch is set to begin. It seems strange to me that the political world is experiencing exactly the same phenomenon.

Check this new space race I think it would be great if the europeans reached mars first, it would serve america right for wasteing it’s time building weapons of mass destruction.

Check this for TEN REASONS

Check this for TEN REASONS THE US DOESN’T SUCK IN 2002and this for 10 REASONS IT DOES I find myself for the most past in agreement with all 20 observations. Especially DJ Shadow as a important figure in global culture. Which brings me to my next area of thought for the day… what is global culture? Whos taste are considered when trying to define such a thing? Or is it a matter of taste at all? I don’t think that Santa Clause and DJ shadow occupy the same station in the world but both could be considered part of global culture, So I guess I don’t think that “global culture” is the same as “pop culture”… but how is it different? humhum hum… maybe I will come to a point of more clarity, maybe I won’t.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Joe strummer the front man

Joe strummer the front man of the clash died yesterday here is his website He was only fifty. It is sad when people die young.

“I believed we had to get inside the pop culture. He believed you should always stay outside and hurl things at it. We had endless arguments about it. As we all got older I realized what a nice person he was. He was a very important musician. The Clash will be endlessly influential.”

- Boomtown Rats frontman Bob Geldof

I think that I need

I think that I need to always take into consideration that I really like climbing and this happens to be a neat website about said action It makes me want me want to be on top of the world so bad. :)

dark pages

I think that because of the fact that G W bush was a D student and a cheerleader (Here is a full history of his life as idiot) I think it is safe to assume he never read 1984 or WE. If he had, I imagine he would think twice before implimenting his plans for home land security. Which will include a system to track every purchase made by every american, as well as a System for Wide Monitoring of Internet. What sort of world does he expect us to live in? He really should read those books.
