Food Revisited

I have been thinking a lot of what I want to do with myself for the next section of my life and, believe it or not, I find myself revisiting food. Particularly when I read things like this about places like El Bulli which is at the highest reaches of world cuisine. I suppose that the problem I am faced with when I try an imagine myself working in the food industry is that I cannot imagine myself working anywhere but the absolut highest reaches. As this article humorously points out, a huge amount of fine dineing in america is nothing more than the work of semi talented chefs trying to up-sell their un-creative food for the highest markup possible. The prospect of me doing that myself bores me to no end.

Here is something that does a very good job of comparing the food world with the book world. I do like interesting perspectives and this is one.
