Sadamy
On my drive to work this morning NPR told me that Saddam had been captured. That makes the world a better place doesn’t it? So what to do with him now becomes the question. How do you arrive at justice fairly when you know the party is guilty? If you put them on trial with a presumption of guilt what is the point of the trial but pomp and circumstance? If you don’t put them on trial it looks like you don’t care about justice. So what does this say about justice? That it is a sham and relative only to whom happens to carry the biggest stick? perhaps. One thing is for sure though, the capture of Saddam will put more stress on the western conception of The Rule of Law than there has been since perhaps NUREMBERG.
Oh and today was day 4 of being on the slopes and it is dumping, yoohoo!
