SO I was out birding it and this is what I saw. a bald eagle eating lunch, and a few others looking for it. I like bald eagles. looky looky.

In 1a you can see the little fish in the Talons and in 1c you can see the Bird eating the little fishes brains. mmm. eat brains.

I formated the pictures in a strange way, I don’t like that as much, aside from that I like these photos a lot, but more so at the full rez. but any who, today ruled.

Looking down off of the boat I saw a pod of six Killer Whales surrounding us. They stayed with us for quite a while, during which time one of them did a full breach out of the water, another of them did Tail-Lobbing and the rest just hung out looking bad ass. I really, really like orcas. Evidently it is quite rare to see what I saw today, any way, it ruled. HEre are a few pictures I took. maybe money. View image 1

I am now in my new house. I think that i will really like it here. today I road 26 miles to and from work, it is so nice being able to ride my bike everywhere. The weather is really quite nice as well. I have been meeting all sorts of people, tall people, short people, fat people, well really not to many fat people, I suppose the hills keep em trim. I saw a really neat bit of whale action today. I have not yet gotten a good picture of the Flukes but I am sure I will eventually. It is awesome to think about how rare it is to see orcas and humpbacks in their natural enviroment. I think I read that there are only 12000 hump backs world wide, compare that with the nearly 12000000 people that live in the city of Bombay alone and it puts it into somekind of perspective. I really like takeing pictures, thus far I have accumulated nearly 500 shots of varying quality, I would venture to guess that at least some of them are keepers. the joys of digi. My camera is working wonderfully. I suggest the minolta A1 to one and all. My hair is getting a bit too long. I am feeling a little shaggy. It is a shame i am afraid of getting it cut. I hate bad hair cuts soooo much. I wish that I could find a really good barber and then patronize him for the rest of my life. my dad has gotten his hair cut by the same guy for nearly 22 years, that is saying something. I met a guy from holland today who just started a one year trip that will take him from Alaska to Argintina, I can hardly beleive the things that people do, it is inspiring to no end. Tomorrow I have 3 3 hour tours, the earliest of which will demand that I leave my house at aproximately 0600, I love being on “sea” time. I am a seaman. rule.

Today has been quite a day, I had my first tour, I saw my first humpback whale, stellar sea lion, harbor sea, dal poupoise, and orcas. If that weren’t enough, I saw the Orcas in the context of them hunting and chaseing the Dall Pourpoises. It was really incrediable. On top of that I also found a very nice place to live in a house in downtown Juneau. wow.

I am Juneau Alaska for the next five months. The journey up here was spectacular. If you ever get the chance to drive through the Canadian Rockies you should do it. Incrediable! It only took me 5 days to do it, time well spent. now come and visit.
