I have been taking a bit of a break from the blogging world for the past few months, but I think that today is as good a day as any to return to previous form.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just hate the Russians again? Maybe we still can, This article talks about Putins march back to authoritarianism and his longing for the USSR days of yore. Evidently he has a certain penchant for banning books, and has just recently decided to appoint the 89 governors of Russia’s sub-states as opposed to the free elections that used to select them. Oh happy day.
On a different note, I am back in Colorado for the time being. The drive down from Alaska was something else, 2750 miles and 44 hours of drive time. It was really quite a pleasant time, and I now know that the capitol of Alberta is Edmonton, and that it has a HUGE mall.
