It has been raining in garmisch for quite some time and now there is flooding here is a story and here are my pictures.

islam

“It is clear that Islamist terrorists hate globalization. But they do so because it makes life on this earth even more materially comfortable. They reject earthly pleasure and happiness. The enjoyment of life represents humiliation to them. The sight of a happy free and spontaneous woman laughing, dressed as she wants to be dressed, represents humiliation to them. That is the problem. Can we really blame America for the unhappiness of those who venerate a death-cult that rejects individualism and the pursuit of happiness in earthly existence? ” from here

Fast

My mother came to visit me for the past four days and it was a splendid experience. I was very graciously allowed to use a 5 series BMW sedan for the duration of the time and that in itself was incredible, I always wondered what it would be like to be accelerating in 4th gear at 100mph and then kick into 5th gear to cruise at 125 mph only to be passed on the left by are car moving so fast as to make me feel like I was standing still. exhilarating! The joy of driving is alive and well in Germany. What we did with all of that driving was to take a bit of a tour of Bavaria and Tirol, with the focus attraction being Schloss Linderhof, which was one of King Ludwig’s most lived in estates. It is nestled in a very picturesque valley and styled after the french palace of Versailles, but what liderhof has that Versailles does not is an artificial underground lake and cavern built ofr the sole purpose of performing one of Richard Wagner’s many operas, needless to say Ludwig was a big fan, and after hanging out there for the small amount of time that I did, so am I. I need to explore Bavaria more thoroughly because I am sure there are many more gems like linderhof that I have yet to discover. Perhaps more people should come and visit so that we can discover them together :)
